Red Dot Sight Review: Aimpoint PRO Optic

If you are looking to jump straight form tactical to a more civilian sort of sight, then you need to check out the Aimpoint Pro. This Patrol Rifle Optic was released back in 2011 and in 2012; the civilians could purchase this sight. With a 3 year long battery life and a QR2 mount, there isn’t much that this sight doesn’t have to offer. Along with your package you will even receive flip up covers for your lens. The interior lens cap has nifty sticker which can be used for service reminders.

The Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic makes use of three Volt Li battery (2L76) which run for a whopping 30, 00 hours continuously. Another thing about this sight is that it features a red dot of 2 m OA The intensity can be adjusted with a knob at the rear ended lens. One can get a hold of this knob even with woollen gloves on.
With an updated mount, the system of QRP2 successfully manages two objectives:

  1. It doesn’t let any iron sights comes in your way.
  2. The mount comes with a big knob for mounting onto the optic rail. This also unmounts and mounts without the help of tools.

The one thing that is so impressive about this mount is that it is rock solid and very handy.

The rear and front lenses both are embedded in the body of the optic to lend some extra protection. The threaded front tube can be used for mounting of any anti-reflection device. The Aim point Pro works well with other devices for night vision. The Pro can also work well with the 3x magnifier by Aimpoint if you are required to reach and touch at a longer distance.
This Pro by Aimpoint is free if parallax so there isn’t any sensitivity while your position your eyes. If you see through the tube, you shall be able to clearly see the target red dot. This sight is very quick to acquire.

Built with great detailing, the Pro has elevation caps and windage attached together with a smart rubber strap to avoid losing out on any pieces.

The Final Verdict

If you want something that is built like a smart, rugged tank, this is the sight you should go for. It is clear and pretty easy to get. The little features and heart that Aimpoint puts into creating these sights do make every bit of difference. This Aimpoint Pro most definitely gets double thumbs up from our end.
